The International High School of New Orleans (IHSNO) will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to inaugurate its new campus located at 2733 Esplanade Ave. The ceremony marks a significant milestone for IHSNO, which has relocated from its Central Business District (CBD) location after 13 years.
The celebration will feature: an IHSNO Jazz Band performance, remarks from school founder Karen Dwyer and City Councilman Eugene Green, visual arts gallery walk, and a campus yard party.
In celebration of IHSNO’s global focus, the ceremony will also include student performances from the school's Hispanic Heritage, Lunar New Year, Black History, and French Cultural celebrations.
"We are excited to christen our new campus and showcase our commitment to global education and cultural awareness," said Adierah Berger, CEO of IHSNO. "This ceremony represents a new chapter for our school as we continue to provide students with a world-class education."
IHSNO was the first high school in New Orleans to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP), recognized globally for its ability to develop students' intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills. In 2023, IHSNO seniors collectively earned over $25 million in scholarship awards, demonstrating the school's dedication to academic excellence.
